A Manifesto

Winter 2025

After reading the manifestos of other designers, I was tasked with making my own manifesto. I was inspired by Bruce Mau's "Incomplete Manifesto for Growth” and a video talking about creativity and the idea of “letting go”. From there, I worked toward defining how I should continue to approach design and my personal life as well.
Design should be about embracing fear and vulnerability. There is so much to uncover in the uncomforatble. I found myself seconding guessing and not allowing myself to really dive into play without calculating things. This has become a reminder to sit in the uncomfortable and embrace the weird things that come out of it. There is no right or wrong and there is always room to grow, so leave space to add or change to your routine.

I have a sketchbook, but have never been very exvited at the idea of showing anyone what is inside when someone asks. I gave myself the challenge to mindlessly draw and have the same mindset I had as a child, no judgement. I connected these drawings with mantras I want to live by, handwiritng the lettering to really continue the humane element. This is a glimpse into my sketchbook.
I Listen. I Learn. I Change. Repeat.
